With a peel or without: which version to book

Book the "With A Peel" version if you'd like extra glow: it adds a gentle professional peel to your face during the facial, with minimal downtime. It's also the only way to try a peel on a first visit, since stand-alone peels are for returning clients. If you've used retinoids or exfoliating acids in the past 2–3 days, the version without a peel may suit that visit better.
What the peel adds
The "With A Peel" option adds a gentle professional peel to the face (face only) as part of your facial. Gentle peels are designed to address acne, sensitivity, discoloration, texture and signs of aging, with minimal downtime.
Afterward your skin may feel slightly dry or sensitive, with minimal to no peeling. For the time-based facials, the appointment length stays the same.
Prices with and without
Each facial below is listed without a peel, then with one.
The Simply Dermaplaning Facial is booked as a single version, $160 for 75 minutes.
- The 50: $115, or $200 with a peel
- The 75: $160, or $240 with a peel
- The 90: $195, or $280 with a peel
- The 120: $265, or $345 with a peel
- Simply Acne Treatment: $150, or $230 with a peel (60 minutes)
- Simply Hydrodermabrasion: $185, or $270 with a peel
On your first visit
Stand-alone peels, including the Simply Gentle Peel and the Simply Deep Peel, are for returning clients. If you'd like a peel on your first visit, book the "With A Peel" version of your facial instead.
The Simply Deep Peel is not recommended for first-time clients or for darker skin tones, as it may cause hyperpigmentation.
When to skip the peel
Avoid retinoids or exfoliating acids for 2–3 days before your appointment, and note any recent sun exposure, procedures or skin reactions on your intake form. If any of those apply, the version without a peel may be the better choice, and Leica will adjust your treatment to your skin that day.
Pregnant, under a dermatologist's care or taking prescription acne medication? Check with your doctor and tell Leica on your intake form before booking a peel.
After a peel
For the first three days, use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and SPF. Skip heavy makeup for the rest of the day and hold off on harsh actives. Keep wearing SPF every day.
