Back breakouts: the Simply Gentle Peel for the back
For breakouts or rough texture on the back, Simply Facials offers the Simply Gentle Peel for the back: $265 for a 20-minute session. It includes a double cleanse and a peel chosen for your skin, and like all stand-alone peels, it is for returning clients.
What the back peel is
The Simply Gentle Peel is a chemical peel service designed to address acne, sensitivity, discoloration, texture and signs of aging. In the facial guide, the back option is the choice for back breakouts or texture.
The session includes a double cleanse and a peel application tailored to your skin's needs. These are gentle peels with minimal downtime. The same peel can also be booked for the face ($105), neck ($75) or décolleté ($105).
Who can book it
Stand-alone peels, including the back peel, are for returning clients. If you have not visited before, book a facial first, such as The 50 or The 75, and choose the version with a peel. That is how first-time clients try a peel. Peels added to a facial cover the face, or the face with the neck and décolleté, so the back is always booked as its own appointment.
Once Leica knows your skin, you can book the back peel on its own through the online booking calendar.
Before your peel
Avoid retinoids or exfoliating acids for two to three days beforehand, and note any recent sun exposure, procedures or skin reactions on your intake form.
If your back breakouts are painful or deep, or a doctor is already treating them, check with your doctor first and tell Leica on the form.
What to expect afterward
Your skin may feel slightly dry or sensitive, with minimal to no peeling. For the first three days, use a gentle cleanser and moisturizer, and protect the area with SPF.
If the skin feels dry or irritated, Rejuvi 'h' Skin Healing Gel is an oil-free aloe gel that can be used on the face, neck or body. For before and after photos of clients, visit Instagram at @simply.facials.
At your visit, ask Leica how the back peel fits with your facials and home care. She will adjust each peel to how your skin looks that day.
