What happens during The 50

The 50 is a 50-minute custom facial that covers the essentials: double cleanse, exfoliation, extractions, serums, face massage, a customized mask, moisturizer and SPF. It starts at $115, or $200 with a gentle peel on the face. It's the facial to book when you're not sure where to start.

Before you arrive

After you book online, you'll get a confirmation and an intake form by email. Fill it out before your visit and note any recent sun exposure, procedures or skin reactions.

Come with a clean face if you can, and avoid retinoids or exfoliating acids for 2–3 days beforehand. On a first visit, Leica starts with a short skin check and a chat about your routine and goals.

Step by step

Every step is tailored to how your skin looks and feels that day. Here is the order you can expect.

• Double cleanse: two rounds of cleansing to remove impurities.
• Exfoliation: to smooth away dead skin cells.
• Extractions: clearing congested pores where needed.
• Serums: chosen for your skin on the day.
• Face massage: a chance to relax.
• Customized mask: picked to suit what your skin needs.
• Moisturizer and SPF to finish.

With or without a peel

The 50 comes in two versions. Without a peel, it starts at $115. With a peel (face only), it's $200, and the appointment is still 50 minutes.

Stand-alone peels are for returning clients, so this is the way to try a peel on your first visit. If you've used retinoids or exfoliating acids in the past 2–3 days, the version without a peel may suit that visit better. Tell Leica on your intake form.

Who it's a good fit for

The 50 is a no-frills, all-results facial for when you don't want to overthink it. It's a natural first visit and works well as a regular reset.

If you'd like a fuller neck, décolleté and upper arm massage plus an enhancement such as LED red light or ice globes, look at The 75 instead.

After your facial

Skip heavy makeup for the rest of the day, wear SPF, and hold off on harsh actives for 48 hours. After a peel, use a gentle cleanser, moisturizer and SPF for three days.
